Our Technology

Dentures have been manufactured using lost-wax technology for centuries. AvaDent was the first to disrupt these conventional techniques with a digitally designed denture by creating software, and manufacturing systems specifically for removable prosthetics. 80 patents later, AvaDent’s esthetically driven, precision fit prosthetics deliver the ideal occlusion, they’re stain/bacteria resistance, and provide unsurpassed strength. This translates into reduced chair-time, happy patients and practice profitability.
Align Technology
Align Technology revolutonized the future of the orthdontic dental community with its digital dentistry much the way AvaDent products are revolutoninzing prosthetic dentistry with the predictability of achieving more consistent workflow.

Align Technology, inventor of the Invisalign product (a clear plastic orthodontics), did the unthinkable and marketed a dental product directly to the consumer to advance the notion that patients can be educated to demand a certain dental treatment that is more beneficial to their personal situation.

NEW TECHNOLOGY

We have now entered a period in which the technology has developed to such an extent that designing and manufacturing complete dentures is automated. Something we have never seen before. The new technology ensures a boundary rearrangement whereby we can now digitally lay complete jaw forms over a scanned version of edentulous jaws, in order to achieve a perfect occlusion with our own teeth or a complete prosthesis, while maintaining the natural relationships.

AvaDent has emerged as the only company active in the market for complete digital removable prostheses. With AvaDent, dental laboratories can use scanning technology to register the anatomy of the patient using an alginate print.

The therapist can place an alginate print in the scanner and send the scan data to the laboratory. Intraoral reproductive scans are not yet applicable in the production of complete dentures. This has two primary causes. First, scanning toothless patients causes problems. Secondly, the biggest challenge is that the muscular movements and border movements of the soft tissue can not yet be properly recorded in such a scan.

3D printing of a full denture is also an option. For example, for printing a fitting prosthesis and in the future also for a permanent prosthesis.

XCL Technology

Fully Milled Dentures
Using the power of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and patented AvaDent eXtreme-Cross-Linked (XCL) technology, we offer fully milled, one-piece monolithic prostheses.

A monolithic denture is completely milled from an individual puck made with AvaDent extreme cross-linked teeth material and high-impact base material.

Adaptive Occlusion

Adaptive Occlusion is the name of our proprietary software that enables us to perform dynamic digital articulation and equilibration. It adapts the surface of occluding teeth while preserving as much of the original shape as possible. The benefit is near zero chair-side adjustments and patients have optimized mastication. We engineer perfect occlusion in software, then our precision milling technology produces the exact same geometry. Since there is no post-processing distortion, unlike conventional and 3D printing, our output is exact to scale. We even 3D scan all our production and digitally compare the result to the original digital design file to ensure we have accurately fabricated the design.

Signature Teeth

Signature Teeth is the name of our proprietary software that enables us to scale the size and shape of individual teeth, or pairs or groups of teeth to create the patient’s perfect natural smile. You too can use this amazing software when you enroll into AvaDent Cloud Connect.

Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)

AvaDent has developed an exclusive digital dental CAD/CAM platform for the design and manufacture of dentures. This revolutionary platform offers dental professionals precision, speed and time savings through the digital automation process that results in a comprehensive process called Computer Aided Engineering (CAE).

Digital Positioning Tech

Placing the bar in the prosthesis using the patented Digital Positioning Technology (DPT), ensures that everything fits perfectly without any changes to the design. This allows you to place everything in one visit with high accuracy and predictability.
